And because I don't want to be misunderstood, what I am saying is that surely Athens is a historic city with the Parthenon, but it is a typical city full of cement and noise, like Dallas you mentioned or maybe New York (you can say that Athens is like a miniature of those cities). It has not maintained its original colour, like St. Petersburg, Prague, Barcelona, etc. There are other historic cities in my country (that's what I mean with "Parthenons" all over it), as in all countries all over the world, that fortunately have managed to maintain their originality and are smaller, quiter and cleaner than Athens.
