The piecewise linear interpolation look-up table for this posters look-up table is trivially small. Hardly bigger than the data table in the spreadsheet that he linked to.

If he injects more data points in the point table to gain better accuracy over each linear approximation segment then the table grows some of course.

But this is hardly the size of table that I think the original poster was envisioning with 12000 entries.
