I do not know much about your sensor. Can you provide a link to a data sheet for the device? I could comment however that I suspect that 1/4 Watt resistors will not cut it if you intend to bias an optocoupler off the power line. In a long ago project I used an opto coupler that was biased off the primary power line at 110 VAC to detect the 60 Hz power line frequency. Here is a similar circuit and note that a resistor of at least 2 Watts should be used. P = V2/R P = (110 - 4.7)2/11000 P = 1.2 watts ![]() Michael Karas |
