So, Pralhad, if you want to purchase the proximity switch, open up the Indutrial Product Finder, Yellow Pages, etc. Look out for the Process Control Equipment manufacturers (Such as Temperature Controllers, PID Controllers, Timer/Counter Manufacturers), contact them, give them your requirement (and, if you require, ask them for a test certificate, that is tracable to International Standards), get a datasheet from them, and then purchase the right one.

You will find many of them may not supply you the datasheet, but there are some seriuos Process control manufacturers who manufacture their own Sensors and provide the traceability certificate also.
