EA low " Not required. I think you are confusing between PSEN and ALE. This is what the Bible says: When the CPU is executing from internal Program Memory, PSEN is not activated, and program addresses are not emitted. However, ALE continues to be activated twice per machine cycle and so it is available as a clock output signal. Note, however, that one ALE is skipped during the execution of the MOVX instruction.
