Have you used the proper Win-32 APIs, or have you bodged it with hacking directly to absolute hardware addresses? Well I am using absolute hardware address for the com ports and the interrupts : 0x2f8 and 0x0b and using functions like outportb and inportb.Basically it is version of Craig Peacock's code at www.beyondlogic.com hacked to suit my requirement. So can you people suggest any workarounds as the customers generally dislike booting in dos mode .... Meanwhile any comments / suggestions to improve reliability and what has been the collective experience on using serial EEPROMs ?? Regards Thomas |
