In a circuit I'm designing I need a lot of outputs for swiching relays. I normally use a '595 and ULN2803, but in this case I need 26 outputs instead of the normal 8.

Only one of the 26 outputs needs to be active at a time, so I have considdered using the '595 as ususal, but adding two 4-16 decoders.

But are there any easier solutions? Any port expander chips with a lot of outputs?
