designing the layout of PCB is a very very essential part of whole project. You should have your own layout router in your company, who is specialized in designing PCBs. That's my certain opinion.
It's so much discussion necessary between designer of circuitry and designer of PCB during whole development phase, that both should sit in the same building.

Only with the simplest applications development process can be clearly divided into 'design of circuitry' and 'design of PCB'. But when the applications grow, when analog and digital elements are mixed, designer of circuitry and designer of PCB should work hand in hand. That's my experience.

By the way, you can send me your layout sketch. I will have a look at it and will give you some hints. Free of charge, of course.
