Hi Everybody,

You may recall some weeks ago I told you that we were leaving Dallas and moving to a ranch in Oklahoma. Well, we hauled the first truck load of stuff up there this week. We've got at least one more full-sized load to go and are planning it for the end of next week. Anyway, I wanted to share with all of you these photos of our new place. Besides, it's a good chance to learn how to do these picture posts. (Did any of you notice that I DID search before posting a new thread asking how?) I can see the photos when I preview the posting so I am assuming you can too.

So the ranch is a square 40 acres, which is 0.25 miles squared (a 1 mile perimeter). It's fenced and cross fenced for cattle and has a pecan orchard (about 50 mature trees) in the west pasture.

This is the main house.


This is the barn and an overgrown corral. That's a chicken coop in the foreground. Yes, the coop needs some work, if I decide to keep it.


This is a flagpole in the front yard.


This is my new office and library. My lab is in the basement.


This is our fishin' hole. So far we've caught large mouth bass and bream.


This is the schoolroom for our boys. We homeschool them. Yes. That shrub is in desparate need of an extreme trim. What you can't tell from the photo is that my first project is going to be putting a new roof on this one.


And this is my machine shop.
