Congratulations on the move. lovely home. I think that you will find the grass thin over the tank but greenest over the drain field. I took an arial photo of my place before I bought it and the septic system was easy to see.
There should be only 4-6 inches of dirt over the tank so it dries out quick but the drain field gets extra water.
