Is it your company, or your country, that you are saying ignores international intellectual property rights laws? In either case, there are then lots of things for you to work on. You can invent the wheel, the incline plane and the pulley. Then you can develop iterative embedded systems and invent the block and tackle. You can discover fire and in a few years you can be inventing internal combustion engines and telescopes and fiber optics and computers. Eventually you'll be able to invent the internet (though you'll have to fight Al Gore for that one).
