What can a "software department" do to keep busy?
Propose new stuff? - hardly, that is marketing.
Suggest improvements to existing products - absolutely
Spend time catching that elusive bug that show up in one of a hundered miffuglabs once a month - YES
Go kick the marketing guys off their enlarged seating muscles - sure.
