#71081 - Sad, but true. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Yes, I heard this a few weeks ago.
The distributor said then that it hadn't been anounced publicly, so I'd been holding off mentioning anything here. However, observant regulars will have noticed that I've missed several opportunities to recommend, "sounds like a job for a Triscend" recently... The story from our distributor was that the Triscend products did not fit with Xilinx - they just wanted "the people, not the products." Apparently, Triscend devices will continue to be available from Rochester Electronics, "The World's most comprehensive source of discontinued semiconductors:" http://www.rocelec.com/ although there will obviously be no further development and no support. This certainly scuppers a couple of little projects I had in the pipeline... :-( Oh well, if anyone's trying to migrate a Triscend project to something else, and needs some help from a Triscend expert - you know who to call... |
