I wonder how much of this is due to companys like xilinx trying to push the idea of 'system on a chip' FPGAs which naturaly have embedded prosessors.
I think what you will increasingly see is that stand alone embedded processor become a thing of the past and they will increasingly be part of FPGA fabric. |
