Im not using a 805x, but a other 8bit
microcontroller. (AT90S4414 4kb flash and 256bytes sram and 32IO's @ 8mhz )

Well, my question is, does anybody tried to hookup an IDE device such as an HardDrive or some SDRam to its Microcontroller before?

Im reading a crappy document about ATA-2
protocols, and i think its possible to use an HardDrive with an Microcontroller.

But id like to have some feedback before i spent $200 on a project which might not be 'do-able' in a month by a young student (Im 17yrs)

Btw, does anybody know some serie numbers for 8bit SRAM modules? 16kb or more would be cool.
