so that his workers don't fake it. How much will the workers pay you to have it automatically fake the reasults...? ;-) Kashyap Deepak said:
I was thinking of a relay with a 230V coil... Sounds like an unnecessary complication: you will need a power supply anyway, so why not just have this give you a power-fail signal? Kashyap Deepak said:
I need to power the system in case of power outage,I was thinking of a capacitor which could power the Uc till the data was logged. Or maybe a rechargeable battery? Or, as Erik suggested, a SuperCap. Remember that a suitable capacitor's voltage will drop quite slowly, so you will need a supervisor circuit to ensure that your micro gets a well-defined turn-off when its supply voltage drops out of spec - otherwise you may well end up corrupting your logged results! You will need to maintain a supply for the RTC to keep time... Kashyap Deepak said:
I don't know to program I2C chips Use the 'Search' - I2C has been discussed thousands of times here! You will find links to the definitive documents at Philips, and much, much more! Have you looked on the Dallas site - they probably have example code right there already. http://www.maxim-ic.com/quick_view2.cfm?qv_pk=2688 |
