hi, this is what i understand about Bit-Banging.
you can Bit-Bang a protocol like i2c in i2c you can Bit-Bang the protocol and communicate with i2c devices even if you don't have a hardware dedicated controller for i2c. so you "emulate" a hardwired controller for i2c there are routines for Bit-Banging for many protocols like spi, i2c in assembler and c i don't know if Bit-Banging applies for something besides protocols |
