#72030 - RE: Bit-Banging mechanism
Responding to: ???'s previous message
hi, this is what i understand about Bit-Banging.

you can Bit-Bang a protocol like i2c

in i2c you can Bit-Bang the protocol and communicate with i2c devices even if you don't have a hardware dedicated controller for i2c. so you "emulate" a hardwired controller for i2c

there are routines for Bit-Banging for many protocols like spi, i2c in assembler and c

i don't know if Bit-Banging applies for something besides protocols
