#72133 - RE: Red Hot [ 800 deg] Iron Sensors.
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hallo Prahlad,

mount a fast acting temperature sensor with low heat capacity in 0.2m height over these rolling hot pieces: Whenever temperature RISES, a hot piece is traversing. If temperature FALLS, no hot piece is under the temperature sensor. By this you can count the number of pieces per day, by the help of a contactless methode.

If you use simple thermocouple this high temperature can easily be withstood.

In order to prevent mistriggering from slowly changing ambient temperature, your sensor must only detect those temperature changes for the counting, which show a minimum change rate. Mounting temperature sensor as close as possible to hot pieces eases the task to find an appropriate threshold.
