This forum IS sorted by subject as well as any other forum. If you check the 'sortable' forums, you will se that LCD, Re.:LCD, Re:16x2 LCD, 16x2 LCD and 20x4 lcd are in totally different places. I do not think Craig has the time - or the desire - to rework all headings to make for a meaningful sorting. If any improvement should be done, I think that with the heavier use, maybe the page should be extended some lines to allow the subjects to live a tad longer.
