friends, Allegro Micro produces 6A595; Texas Instruments produces TPIC6A595 and TPIC6A596. These parts provide serial_to_parallel shift register with output latches. Each output may sink up to 50V/350mA. And! (surpise :) There is "Output Short-Circuit Protection" bult-in chips based on chopping mode. Maybe does it help you to eliminate all those transistors/diodes/resistors etc? Regards, Oleg |
