Since these are quite "small" chips, and their dissipation limits are quite low, I can't see the electronics generating a lot of heat - certainly not more than a decent forced draft can provide.

My guess would be Mahmood's client is going to want his money's worth of lamps going on/off on his expensive model, so you can reduce the chip duty cycle accordingly.

I still wonder what the hell he wants to do with it.
