I sincerely regret and ask to be excused.A recent (detailed) posting of mine was declared over-rated (-1) and hence my telegraphic attitude.But the nice way you point out that, deserves compliment. 1)The requirement is cost estimating a LED based moving message display which should be bright enough,fail-proof,made of cheap local parts. 2)Let me start with a small one of 48 columns and 7 rows = 336 LEDs. 3)My LEDs can take 130 mA @ 2.7 Volts(approx) for more than a minute. 4)The circuit is here. Dear Andy other factors are price,availability etc.etc.etc.etc. Dear Erik Thank you.But the shopkeepers dislike people like us who keep on asking for components which will have MARKET after couple of years.Did I not tell you that market could not give me even Max7219 and AT90S2313!
