Most of the usual RS232 ports only support the signals you get on the 9pin version. The secondary stuff goes back into history as does the other pin assignments.
If you need more I/O, I would suggest you add an I/O device such as an ADAM4000 series or suchlike. In fact, you could probably build your whole test system with these devices. |
