On the back side of PC even if you have a 25 pin COM port internally it may be connected to your mainboard by a 9 pin cable.
True in some cases, but that 25 pin connector contains all the signals necessary for communication i.e. TX,RX,STR,DSR,RTS,CTS,CD,RI and GND of course. |
