Either built-in DAC or PWM which can be done in software.
And if I'm not short on ports or board space, I can easily turn one port into a simple and cheap though effective 8-bit DAC using 8 resistors: 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128 and 256 ohm (or proportionally more or less), attaching them in sequence: lowest resistance to MSB, highest to LSB.
I'm more concerned with Prahlad's comment - I don't really know how triacs work. But in that case an optocoupler should do the trick...
