#7528 - IDE Command timing... |
Hello again =)
Ive build a test board to interface my microcontroller with an IDE-ATA device (currently a big fat slow cdrom drive) But im not sure if ive got the timing of the DIOW/DIOR (Device IO Write/Read)correct. If im correct, these are the strobing lines to strobe the data/commands in and out. Is my sequence correct(?): (reading from IDE device) 1. Setup DA0..DA2 2. Setup CS0, CS1 3. Strobe DIOR 4. Read Command/Data Do i have to READ the value from the IDE device while DIOR is still high? Thanks in advance. |
