The rogowski coils are air cored toroidal coils wound on non-ferrous substrate. The conductor is kept passing through this coil. The signal generated by the coil is the voltage EMF produced at the terminals of the coil. the signal is given by formula.

e(t)=((µ0*A*N)/l)*di/dt

N= Number of turns.
A= Cross sectional area of coil.
l= Length of toroid.
µ0=Permiability of space = 4*pi*10 raised to -7.
