#75998 - Init string is only the start... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Dear Yusran,
Going by your queries it appears that you quite new to modems. If so, suggest study the links given by the members and understand the beast. Getting a modem do your bidding is no easy thing even with a full printed manual that lists all the Hayes commands that the guy will respond to. And in that, the Init string is just the begining - the story does not stop there if you want to get work done by the modem. From your post it appears that your modem has no manual that can be of "use" to you. So check out their web site. If there also you draw a blank, do the next best : Buy a modem that lists out the command set for THAT modem. You will be happy you did that. Raghu |
