And if you intend to use internal WDT, then the external POR cicuit should have open collector output. This is because most derivatives with internal WDTs have bi-directional RESET signal. They emit a RESET when internal WDT acts.

What does datasheet say?

According the datasheet of ADM1232 the RESET pin is capable of sourcing and sinking currents. Is it ok to use this supervisor with micros having internal WDT which emit RESET.
