#76999 - RE: Reset Generator for P89V51RD2 Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Have heard this from many people :
always select a reset generator that matches the RESET pin requirements of your microcontroller. But hearing the reason for that the first time : During the crucial time that the Vcc is transitioning from GND to +5 volts the reset generator chip itself will provide a predictable output condition even at the instant the Vcc is at say 0.96 volts. Thank you so much Michael for bringing out this detail. And for those who have no option but to "match" the supervisor and MCU, Prof.Kai has come out with a solution of pull up. Excellent. Raghu |
