Hello Michael,

SiLabs have a whitepaper on the maths (including FP) performance for their devices, compared to standard, 12-clock, derivatives. That should give you a start on determining the computing time.

An alternative to using floating point would be to use Peter Danegger's arbitrary precision fixed point libraries.
