#77411 - Posting code and meaning of gimme code
Responding to: ???'s previous message
A few months ago I posted one post with some code in it and I remember it was deleted by administrators. I posted the same thing 3 times thinking that there might be some problem with the server. And all three times it was deleted. The same day I got an e-mail from administrator telling I should not post code on forum.

Do you still have the message you received from us? Could you forward it to me via email? I don't recall deleting any messages with code in it--at least they shouldn't have been deleted because they were code. I also get an email every time a thread is closed or deleted or a message is deleted and receive a copy of the thread/message in question. Looking back through my folder I don't see any messages/threads that fit your description, either.

That's not saying it didn't happen, but if you could provide me more information about when it happened and/or forward me the message that said that code can't be posted to the forum I'd really appreciate.

THERE IS NO PROHIBITION ON POSTING CODE TO THE FORUM. Contributing it to the code library would normally be more appropriate but right now I don't have time to receive and post code so the best way to share code is either via the forum or in your 8052.com home directory.

"Gimme Code" is meant for when people are begging for code without showing any effort of having tried to solve the problem first. It is DEFINITELY NOT MEANT for people posting code which is something I would encourage. If you share code and are unfairly moderated please email me.
