The forum is message board: people ask and give suggestions logged into threads. Then anybody may search and read them back.

If you need to chat then there are, for example, ICQ and mIRC. Last one (Internet Relay Chat) is specially designed for chatting. Another question is who does ready to create and support IRC channel #8052 ?
