Once more

why not:

1) The really well informed are gainfully employed and do not have the time to hang out in a chat room.

2) In several threads wrong informating has been given and corrected, no correction would happen in a chat.

3) If, by accident, something valuable would come out in a chat, it would be lost to all but the few.

4) time zone differences would exclude valuable info from someone in a different zone
