As I understand it from my Temic rep, Temic bought Atmel but chose to use the Atmel name for the microprocessors (Atmel had better name recognition). That meants the T89C51RD2 is now sold from Atmel. They may eventually rename it AT89C51RD2 but hadn't the last time I looked. aka j PS. I have 600 Philips 89C51RC+ PLCCs in sealed IC trays if anyone gets desperate for these parts. I bought them as a reserve for special projects. The Philips RX+ series isn't sold much through distributors because the RX2 series is considered its replacement. I'll only sell them by the tray, no ones and twos. Actually, I don't expect any response on this, but you never know. :) |
