#77928 - DTMF |
Hi all, I am a highschool student who has an interest in electronics. Currently I have to make a telephone deal, where I call in to my house, it picks up and then i can enter a number kinda like a password. I am new to this kind of stuff and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. I know that I will need a chip, I just don't know how to know what one or ones I should look at or what I need. What should I be looking for? has anyone done this??? I know a bit about DTMF and will know more soon when I research it a bit more. I know each number has a high frq and a low frq ajoined to it, so to discover what number was pressed that my board must determine what frq is what. If I am correct in saying this, I believe from what I have read that the low frq is first, I know that the high frq is louder by up to 4db. I realize kind of what my project must be capable of doing, I just have no clue how to go about looking up information on chips, and how to know that that is the information that I am looking for and that that applys to my case. Thank you very much for reading this leghty post Jason P.S. If anyone here has done it, by chance did you do your research on line, and if you did, would you beable to recall where you went for it? thanks |
