#78008 - Where to Research Responding to: ???'s previous message |

did you do your research on line, and if you did, would you be able to recall where you went for it? The place to go for research on the internet is an Internet Search Engine By habit, I use AltaVista: http://www.altavista.co.uk but Google, I believe, is the market leader: http://www.google.co.uk Note that these are the UK versions - you may find National versions to suit your own location. It is really important that you learn to make effective use of Internet Search Engines! (note how you've already got negative marks on this post for failure to search first!) You should start by just putting in the key words for your problem; eg, for information on decoding DTMF, just try 'decode DTMF' That gave over 20,000 hits: http://uk.altavista.com/web/resul...gs=0&kls=1 Try looking at the first few - that should give you some tips, and ideas on how to refine your search. Also, try variations like 'decoding DTMF', 'DTMF decoder', etc. Read-up on your search engine's Advanced Search features; eg, 'decode DTMF' will find all pages that contain either 'decode' or 'DTMF' or both! On AltaVista, '+decode +DTMF' will find pages that contain both 'decode' and 'DTMF'; using double-quotes '"decode dtmf"' will find only pages that contain the precise phrase "decode dtmf" That reduces it to about 300 hits: http://uk.altavista.com/web/resul...gs=0&kls=1 By now, you should have identified other keywords to further refine your search - keep going til you have all you need! |
