#78031 - ADC data problem |
I am going to use the 8051 with ADC to log data from a sensor. The sansor will give out -5V to +5v data.
The MAXIM 147 ic is used as the ADC chip. As it just can accept 0-5V (12bit) data or -2.5~2.5 data(11 bit plus sign). approach 1. use 2 741 op-amp, convert the sign to 0~5V, the i can get 12 bit. on the otherhands, if i use a sign op-amp, convert the data to -2.5~2.5 data. (11bit + sign) which approach is better? so that i can get the most correct signal? any suggest? |
