#78462 - RE: Keil IDE Responding to: ???'s previous message |

I would recommend against looking for an IDE since that force you to use editor, compiler and emulator from the same company and the company that make an excellent compiler make a lousy editor. Erik's contempt of IDEs is well known! However, if you use the Keil IDE (uVision), you are not forced to use the uVision editor nor the uVision Project manager - you could just use uVision as a debugger, do your editing in your favourite editor & your building from the command line (or BAT files, or makefiles, etc). |
