What I'm really looking for is the "raw" keyboard. Everything I've seen that comes close to being what I want so far has a PS/2 connector, a USB connector, etc. While I could use a PS/2-based keyboard what I'd really prefer is just the keyboard itself before it gets "converted" into PS/2 or anything else like that.

I'm thinking I may give up on the membrane keyboard since they were never very fun even back in 1980. More probably what I need to look for is laptop replacement keyboards. Perhaps that can solve my problem.
