#78812 - Price of a clone? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Since Silabs publish the schematic of their dev boards (I wouldn't buy them if not) it can be very tempting, albeit probably illegal, to just make a copy. I'm curious just how much cheaper a Silabs clone development board would be than the real Silab development board? They're cheap to start with. I can't imagine you'd save much by going with a clone. All I can imagine is that maybe the clone was made and sold in India as a way to avoid the high cost of shipping a Silabs development board to India? Regards, Craig Steiner |
