#78816 - Code/Hardware library question |
Part of the upgrades I'm doing to the site is to make the code library automated. People will be able to upload code directly without having to send it to me via email.
The idea of a hardware library has been brought up by Jez Smith and it seems like a good idea so I want to include that, too. My question is what types of hardware should be acceptable in the hardware library? The code library is straight-forward since it has to be 8052 code. But should the hardware library just be for schematics of circuits that include an 8052 or derivative? Or for related schematics of circuits that may be commonly connected to an 8052? Or for CPLD/FPGA as Jez has been posting recently? I raise this question because while schematics that include the 8052 are clearly appropriate for an 8052 site, should we go ahead and permit some wandering in the hardware library for things that are not specifically 8052? Jez's hardware contributions have been useful but are not specifically 8052. If everyone thinks this is ok then I don't have a problem with it. I just want to strive to maintain a balance so that 8052.com remains an 8052 site and not a general electronics site. Comments? Regards, Craig Steiner |
