Code / Hardware library is good idea. But I have one suggestion.But about exchnage / publish of complete successfull project.
Lots of us are doing many project. But some of them are implemented(in field / actual use) , some are is live use but some could not be implemented (even after technically ok) , some are used for some time are then replaced with better ones.

So it may not be of any commercial value for that developer but may be of immense value to others at other locations. So if that developer wants he can either publish is free on 8052.com or offer it at some price. In this way both will benefited. Developer may get some revenue out of dead project and other get information of tested & tried project at a reasonable cost.
