Yeah, I caught the differences between RD2 and ED2 eeprom programming, and have re-written code on a couple of products that had to switch over to ED2 chips. But having done that, I can't do maintainance code work using the emulator since that code won't work with the RD2 in the emulator. Hence my situation.

I am going to just try swapping out the chips from the emulator (the present chip just says Atmel 89C51RD2-CM, and seems to have the same pin out.) I'm just girding my loins.
