What I meant about using a PC was, if I were to use C language do I need to interface the microcontroller and the PC? I want to construct it as though it is a normal scientific calculator, where I can bring it to anywhere I want. I have learnt some C++ few years back but I did not master it. I am very very poor at programming. I just dont have any confidence in this project. I really need to make up my mind fast whether to use assembly language or high level language so that I can concentrate on it. Also is 8051 the ideal microcontroller to use or is PIC better? I cant make up my mind.
