#79436 - 50v to 5v simple DC converter |
Hello,
Can anyone suggest a simple way to step down 50v DC to 5v dc. I designed a simple circuit with a single resistor, one transitor and one zener. But the problem with this is that if the zener gets short, my microcontroller circuit gets destroyed. Was planning to use a DC to DC converter but since the numbers are small (20 no.s) and for cost considerations, I dropped this idea. I crossed checked LM317 cannot be used here. Any suggestions?
