It's not 400uF but 400pF. i2c with "old standard" use 7 bit addressing -> 128 devices limit. Every I2C device has its own in/out capicitance. Look this value up in the datasheet and add them up together.
Also beware of pcb traces. If we assume per device an I/O capacitance of up to 10pF and about 10pF stray capacitance (pcb traces, etc.), then we get a maximum number of about 400pF / 20pF = 20 devices! Keep in mind that extended boards can show some higher stray capacitances... Kai |
