can add uptil the 10bit adderssing can handle since there are i2c extender chips .so no problem of capacitance that way
10 bits ~1000 devices, say 10pF each = 10nF. No way

from the datasheet of a bus extender:
"thus enabling two buses of 400 pF ..... Two or more PCA9515s cannot be put in series"
