#79831 - RE: Isolated power supply Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I'm new to isolated regulators and need some hints, application notes, books, reference designs from profesionals
All this can be found at e.g. http://www.maxim-ic.com/, what you will not be able to "find" is know-how. Do EVERYTHING you can to find an industrial one (power trends http://www.ti.com/ is a good source). I know no engineer that can not design a switcher, I know none but the specialists that can make one RIGHT. We had an otherwise capabble engineer that spent 6 months minimum to make an in-house switcher and the units with that switcher has a high failure rate, those with the PT has zero. If you end up making your own (for your sake I hope not) make sure to include a crowbar so a PS failure will not blow the entire circuit. Erik |
