#8010 - RE: Any fast 8051? |
The "parts" I was thinking of are the VHDL codes for the Cypress FPGAs, the code can run a "120 MIPS" 8051. For a decent size production run, the $15,000 cost of the source code can be ammortised quite nicely.
The Cygnal parts are the fastest actual silicon I know about at the moment, and that can run at 25 MIPS. I have seen someone else offering a reengineered 1 clock/instruction core, but I can't remember who. Steve |
